Holden, you amuse me so

Today was quite unproductive. Except for almost finishing "The Catcher in The Rye", I pretty much did nothing but eat, eat, and eat. I have to admit, my first impression of Holden Caulfield did not last long. I was pretty turned off at the beginning but, I continued to read and I soon found myself liking the guy. He has a lot to say, and I mean a lot but, it was mostly entertaining. His observations and opinions on certain things got me cracking up at how brutally honest and true they were. I kind of have my own idea of his voice and I keep hearing it whenever I'm reading. And to be honest, I can picture him looking much like Jean-Pierre Léaud, the kid from one of my favorite classic films, 400 Blows.

I'm really eager to finish this book already. If ever, it's going to be the first book that I finished in less than a week. Every other book I've read took me more than two weeks, at the very least, because I'm so distracted all the time. But today, I voluntarily turned off my laptop and everything else that could possibly distract me. My dog happily kept me company the whole day (he just slept on the floor the whole time, really). I think it's safe to assume that I'll be done with this book by tomorrow or Sunday. After that, I'll start on book #3 right away which is "The Mysterious Benedict Society". To be honest, I'm really excited about that one because it's a young adult series that I've been hearing so much about. So, it can't be that bad, right?

By the way, as you may know, I am graduating tomorrow and therefore, will have lots of free time after (unless, I get a job or something). So, if ever you're interested:
